I fairly detailed volume although the photos were frequently on minimal help due to the poor quality as printed.

TOO MUCH UNESSESARY INFORMATION.

Haynes has in the past been one of my first choices for manuels. This one is so simple its silly. Of little value to a mechanic. The tone of "this is a spark plug" could be forgiven if the coverage was complete, but it isn't. This is especially true of wiring diagrams. Very inaccurate. Unforgivable in MC troubleshooting.

For the size of the book, it's hard to believe it covers 40 years worth of Sportster models. Flipping through the book, it looks like you're better off buying it if you own a 1970-2006 Sportster, as it doesn't contain much info on the latest 2007-2010 models. Fuel injection/sensor info is very lacking.

This timely and well-researched book is an urgent call for action. Everyone should read it. Even if you personally are OK financially, you, without a doubt, know someone in their fifties or older who used to be in good shape financially but now struggles to make ends meet. Retirent income insecurity is that widespread. Lots of.books make.recommendarions on how to.deal with the retirement income crisis. Not sure what I was expecting but I read it in 1.5 hrs and didn't feel like I'd learned much from reading it.

The Boomer generation is facing challenges in retirement. Sadly, many people in their forties and fifties lost jobs and homes, and with them, the opportunity to grow their savings. Now, these same people are figuring out how to retire on a shoestring. Author Elizabeth White has "circled the drain," as she puts it, and has helpful advice about how to cope, and even thrive.

This book provides proof that a book is a verb- it does things. A good book informs you, gives you something to think about, and a basis upon which to conclude something. I had a hard time putting this book down. And it's not a novel!! Granted, I'm in my first sixty days of trying sobriety as a lifestyle, so maybe I am biased. If you have an interest in alcohol or alcoholism or women's issues, read this book. It's like The book Flux, filled with stories and incredible snippets of wisdom. Like having visited a phenomenal therapist. I'm a super critical reader and found a few spots (literally just a few) where a few paragraphs would veer off topic to the left or right, but it never mattered because it was all such great content and I knew the author would pick up where she left off! I wish this author was one of my personal friends, not because she is famous, but because she is so insightful and so real. Read this. I do not think you will be disappointed!

Can't stop once started reading.Found this quite inspiring. As a" non alcoholic ",having 3-4 glasses daily had been my habit for quite a long time.Realizing at the bottom of my heart,of cos that is not a goodthing.I stopped drinking 2 days ago after reading this book

As a daughter of a mother who was an alcoholic, this book resonated with me. I harbor anger at her for her alcoholism and what she did as a result, but this helped me see with clearer, adult understanding what she must've been going through.

Full of good reference statistics and the peronal story of Ms. Johnston. She is a second generation alcohol abuser and was determined not to live out her life with a substance addiction. Excellent chapter on Fetal Alcohol Specrum Disorders.Another good book *Drinking: A Love Story* by Caroline Knapp also covers the unusual problems faced by women drinkers.

The author did an excellent job in conducting a thorough research of her subject-Women and Alcohol, but some of the information and interviews she shares failed to hold my interest. I suppose I would have like to have read more about her personal recovery and a more detailed account of her experience. Her descriptions of her recovery process came off as a bit vague and somewhat repetitious, at times.It is a great reference book for those of us interested in alcohol abuse among women and provides some pretty thought provoking information on how women are a target marketing group for advertising firms.

This explains how much publicity should be given to alcoholism and the growing use of alcohol in colleges, in the advent of rapes and other problems such as drunk driving. It also mentions the fact that alcohol increases the estrogen levels in womens breasts, thereby possibly increasing the risk of breast cancer. One can sympathize with the author's many attempts to go "cold turkey" and finally the achievement of stopping drinking altogether, and her recent attempts to help others with this serious problem.

This is about rather upper-class women. I am an alcoholic, and I'm used to relating to books about alcoholics, but I didn't relate to this.

Jeffrey S. Beaudry, PhD, is Professor of Educational Leadership at the University of Southern Maine. The author or coauthor of more than 20 journal articles and book chapters, Dr. Beaudry teaches research methods courses online and in blended media formats. Lynne Miller, EdD, is Professor Emerita of Educational Leadership at the University of Southern Maine, where she held the Walter E. Russell Chair in Education and Philosophy and directed the Southern Maine Partnership. An experienced teacher and leader in K-12 public schools and higher education, she is committed to linking theory and practice and to promoting research literacy for practitioners.
